Nambucca Bowls Club is renowned for hosting large functions which include weddings, celebrations, conventions and association bowling tournaments.
The Nambucca Valley is a pristine natural environment away from busy city problems but with ample accommodation and area attractions to cater for groups and associations looking for a “quiet alternative”. It is also well sited for east coast conventions being located half way between Sydney & Brisbane.
The Nambucca Bowls Club was formed in 1949. The initial Clubhouse was built with voluntary labour and was situated where No 1 green is today. In 1974 the “new” Clubhouse was built with various extensions being added over the years. The Club is often simply called “The Bowlo” and has 2 synthetic greens which are available to be played under lights.
The Club currently has approximately 2000 members and it is proud to maintain over 180 bowling members.
The Club maintains a 360 square Auditorium which may be screened from the rest of the Club to host large conventions, functions, training courses & bingo. The local Country Music Club holds a monthly “jam session” the last Sunday afternoon of the month. The Dining Room adjoins the Auditorium and caters for A-La-Carte meals, Bistro meals and smaller intimate functions as required.
