The Board of Directors are pleased to advise members our application for a storm recovery grant for damages to the front green and damage to some of our external greens’ lights has been successful. Payment of $15,000 has been made to the Club to cover the initial costs of fixing all the lighting issues. Further funds are payable on invoicing and payment for remedial works on the number 1 green on completion of works.
It is also pleasing to announce works on our new bar upgrade will commence on Monday 18 September 2023. The Club’s bar will remain open during this time but with limited trading space. We have been advised that normal trade, albeit with many more tap options will resume Thursday 21 September.
The Board will continue to develop the outdoor greens space with playground equipment added when all Council requirements are met. Interest from several playgroups and community groups in the area has been well received. Grant applications have been submitted for this development.
The end of the financial year audit is near completion and the Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 15 October 2023. Financial statements will be made available to members on request when finalised and will be posted on the Club’s website.
Due to CPI increases, prices on products sold over the bar will increase this week. The Board have kept prices to a minimum with members price rises of only 10 cents on most beer products. Bottle Shop prices have also been kept low for members.
Your Club continues to see increased turnover in all trading areas and the restaurant continues to receive great feedback regarding the food and service. It is not an easy task running a restaurant with so many food outlets around us, however management are continuing to streamline the restaurant operations and staffing levels while maintaining the quality of the meals.
Please make sure your membership has been renewed prior to the cutoff date of 31 August 2023. Memberships fees will return to the normal club constitution dates next year 31 May 2024.
