About Nambucca Bowls Club
At the Nambucca Bowls Club, we invest in our people to ensure you will always feel “WELCOME” at our Club to enjoy Bowls, entertainment, a great meal, a cold ale or wagering flutter whilst in Nambucca Heads.
The Nambucca Bowls Club is a member of the Nambucca Valley Liquor Accord and follows policies relating to Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gaming. Trading hours will vary depending on day to day events but normal trade commences 10.00am til late, seven days a week.
Nambucca Bowls Club is renowned for hosting large functions which include weddings, celebrations, conventions and association bowling tournaments.
The Nambucca Valley is a pristine natural environment away from busy city problems but with ample accommodation and area attractions to cater for groups and associations looking for a “quiet alternative”. It is also well sited for east coast conventions being located half way between Sydney & Brisbane.
The Nambucca Bowls Club was formed in 1949. The initial Clubhouse was built with voluntary labour and was situated where No 1 green is today. In 1974 the “new” Clubhouse was built with various extensions being added over the years. The Club is often simply called “The Bowlo” and has 2 new synthetic greens which are available to be played under lights.
The Club currently has approximately 2000 members and it is proud to maintain over 180 bowling members.
The Club maintains a 360 square Auditorium which may be screened from the rest of the Club to host large conventions, functions, training courses & bingo. The local Country Music Club holds a monthly “jam session” the last Sunday afternoon of the month. The Dining Room adjoins the Auditorium and caters for A-La-Carte meals, Bistro meals and smaller intimate functions as required.
Looking for TAB or KENO in Nambucca Heads? Club wagering facilities include TAB and KENO with patrons viewing racing and other sports on SKY CHANNEL or FOXTEL SPORTS throughout the Club.
